Submachine 3: The Loop (Walkthrough)
My favourite Submachine game by far!

There is no diary page
There is no menu
There is no spoon
There is no trash bin
In fact, there is nothing to collect at all

It’s just you against the machine!

Level One

  1. Pick up the coordinate device.
  2. Notice that the coordinates of the teleporter are (0,0).
  3. When the cover opens on the teleporter, push the green button to go to the next level.

  1. Go through the doorway on the right.
  2. Notice how your coordinates change as you move from room to room.
  3. Look at the map on the wall.
  4. The “x” represents the transporter (not the map).
  5. The “dots” represent locations of the levers.
  6. Notice how the number of levers is the same as the number of small circles at the top of the coordinate device.
  7. Proceed to the first lever and pull the handle.
  8. Repeat for all remaining levers.
  9. Notice how the small circles at the top of the coordinate device turn green each time you pull a lever. When you have completed all the tasks on a level, all the circles will be green and the transporter will open.
  10. Return to the transporter and push the green button.

  1. Go through the doorway on the right.
  2. Look at the map.
  3. Proceed to the first lever.
  4. This time, when you pull the lever, you will be given a coordinate.
  5. Proceed to the coordinate displayed on the lever.
  6. When you arrive at the coordinate, pull the lever to get your next coordinate.
  7. Repeat until all the circles at the top of the coordinate device are green.
  8. Return to the transporter and push the green button.

  1. Take a look at the map and all the levers.
  2. Notice that there are two types of levers: two normal levers that have two circles on either side, and four levers that look like some sort of console.
  3. Take a look at one of the consoles.
  4. There are four numbers on the console. Your task is to make sure all the consoles have exactly the same numbers.
  5. At the bottom of the console are three columns of circles. Each column represents one of the four numbers on the console.
  6. The top circle of each column increases the number: the bottom circle decreases the number.
  7. Identify the number that does not change, and its position.
  8. You now know one of the four numbers and its position.
  9. Identify all four of the fixed numbers and their positions.
  10. Now adjust the numbers at all four consoles by inputting the four fixed numbers in the correct positions.
  11. When you have all the numbers correct, the circle in the middle of the console will turn green.
  12. Once you have adjusted all the consoles, pull the two levers.
  13. Return to the transporter and press the green button.

  1. Take a look at all the levers.
  2. Notice how each lever has a specific number of dots above it.
  3. Pull each lever in order starting from 1 to 6.
  4. Return to the transporter and push the green button.

  1. Go to the first lever.
  2. Notice your coordinate.
  3. Replacing the numbers in your coordinate with letters, enter your coordinate at the lever.
  4. Example: (1,2) = (A,B)
  5. Repeat for all levers.
  6. Return to the transporter and push the green button.

  1. Go through the door on the left.
  2. Notice the panel with six buttons.
  3. Push the buttons to bring up different symbols.
  4. Now go look at all the levers.
  5. Each lever has a number and a symbol. Enter each symbol from 1 to 6 in the correct spot on the panel.
  6. There is a button on the floor, which is connected to the panel. Push it when you have all six symbols entered. All six buttons should turn green.
  7. Return to the transporter and push the green button.

  1. In this level the map is broken.
  2. Important coordinates:
    Switch: (0,-1)
    Light: (0,1)
    Lever: (1,1)
    Circuits: (1,-1) (2,-1) (3,-1) (4,-1) (5,-1) (6,-1)
  3. Turn on power to the light by turning on the switch.
  4. Go to the light and look at the shadow pattern on the wall.
  5. Looks something like this: / / /
  6. Go to the first circuit at (1, -1).
  7. Click on the vertical bars so the circles at the top left and bottom right turn green, making a pattern like this:
  8. Repeat for the other five circuits, using the shadow pattern to tell you which circles should be green.
  9. When you’ve finished all six circuits, pull the lever.
  10. Go to the transporter and push the green button.

  1. In this level, there are three white oval panels and a coordinate selector.
  2. Go to the first panel and note it’s coordinates.
  3. Go to the selector and use the up/down buttons to enter the coordinates of the first panel. Pull the handle on the selector.
  4. Return to the first panel and notice how it has opened up.
  5. Pull the two handles on the panel.
  6. Repeat for all the panels.
  7. Go to the transporter and push the green button.

  1. In this level, the map is missing.
  2. Go to (0,1). Each letter stands for the name of a colour:
    O = orange
    P = purple
    G = green
    Y = yellow
    W = white
    B = black
    R = red

  3. Notice how you can use the buttons to change some of the letters.
  4. Memorize the letters that cannot be changed (O,Y,O).
  5. Go to (0,-1). Notice how you can use the buttons to change some of the colours.
  6. For the colours you can change, enter the colours that match up with the letters you memorized (orange, yellow, orange).
  7. Now memorize the colours that cannot be changed (orange, yellow, red).
  8. Return to (0,1).
  9. For the letters you can change, enter the letters that match up with the colours you memorized. (O,Y,R).
  10. Return to (0,-1) and push the big button.
  11. Go to the transporter and push the green button.

  1. Go through the doorway on the right.
  2. Memorize the position of the dots on this map.
  3. Return to the transporter.
  4. Go through the doorway on the left.
  5. Add dots on the blank map to make it identical to original map.
  6. Go to (0,-1) and pull the lever.
  7. Go to the transporter and push the green button.

  1. Read the LETTER FROM MUR
  2. Find the LEAF.
  3. Go to (-12,9) and place the leaf on the STATUE.
